Book Review: Broth & Stock From The Nourished Kitchen

Anybody can go down to their local grocery store and pick up a can of broth but how many of us know how to make it healthier and tastier from scratch? With Broth & Stock from the Nourished Kitchen by Jennifer McGruther, we all can and should.

The old wisdom and techniques rediscovered in this book will be well received by the casual cook to the serious “prepper” looking to master self sustainability.  This is what our grandparents knew but somehow forgot to pass down as convenience took over and stores sprung up and started catering to our every need.

Bone, vegetable and seafood broths are all explored along with the history  of broths and how to prepare your kitchen with the right ingredients. This is a highly recommended addition to everyone’s cookbook shelf.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
