Book Review: Somethingtofoodabout

Somethingtofoodabout, the newest experiment by the ever quirky and entertaining Questlove is a collection of essays (photo and otherwise), interviews and narratives on food.  And while this book is about food, the main focus here is on capturing food as art and people creating food as artists.

This is one of the most interesting and entertaining books I have come across in a long while. The photos are brilliant and odd and shocking and bizarre. The Muscovy duck, cherries, apricot, strawberries photo is worth the price of admission alone.

I could not stop smiling as I flipped through these pages. Truly a one of a kind reading experience. There are layers and layers of content to appreciate here on many different levels. Highly recommended to everyone who likes things just a bit different.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
