As co-founder and CEO of the Belcampo Meat Company, Anya Fernald has created a name for herself both as a cook and food advocate as well as through common appearances on Food Network TV shows.
Somewhere in her spare time, Fernald was able to put together this recently released book of recipes titled Home Cooked: Essential Recipes For A New Way To Cook. Strongly influenced by her years in Italy, Home Cooked focuses on ways to make food more favorable than usual. Bringing together European recipes and skills and combining that with years of experience equals a large collection of culinary masterpieces.
Vegetarians close your eyes. The pictures in this book look delicious but are not for everyone. The photo of Fernald standing in the slaughterhouse where beef carcasses age will give you a start. But that is the beauty of this book. It is a real book about real food made with real meat. You can’t go wrong with that.
