Mark Bittman‘s Kitchen Matrix is a collection of “recipe generators” that allow for endless possibilities in the kitchen. Bittman is a strong believer in the idea that core recipes can and should be adapted into any number new dishes. And those new dishes can and should be adapted into others. The main premise being that one core recipe can lead to a thousand different variations.
This technique can be applied to every aspect of cooking including dips, alcoholic drinks, and of course, main dishes. To help you get started, this book is chock-full of recipes and tips along with a knowledgeable introduction to each category.
You don’t come across a book like this very often and its uniqueness makes it essential for every cookbook collection.
